Since 1993, the Prix Gaïa has recognized the careers and individual talents in the field of watchmaking. Hosted by the Musée International d’horlogerie (MIH), the annual Prix Gaïa ceremony has become a must-attend event on the horological calendar.
For the 2020 edition of the Prix Gaïa, the jury has selected four winners across three categories.
Antoine Preziuso – winner in the Craftsmanship – Creation category
A master watchmaker that pairs his craft with high jewelry to create unique timepieces for his discerning clientele. Preziuso wins his Prix Gaïa for his three-decades-long perseverance in developing his brand and his dedication to sharing his passion.
Geneva, 30.10.2015 – Antoine Preziuso’s Tourbillon of Tourbillons AFP–TTR3X – with its three resonating tourbillons on a revolving plate, allied to a planetary triple-differential – was today selected from among 186 watches for two prestigious awards at this year’s Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix):
the Public Prize based on the votes of members of the public, expressed on-line or at the international exhibitions held in the run-up to the Grand Prix awards ceremony
the Innovation Watch Prize for the best watch presented in one of twelve categories and featuring a remarkable technical innovation and/or an innovative design.
The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève is the most prestigious competition in the Swiss watch industry – the ‘Oscars’ of de luxe watchmaking – and was launched in 2001 to help boost international appreciation of watchmaking and the values it cherishes: innovation, pursuit of excellence and the transmission of savoir-faire.The Grand Prix Jury consists of 26 watch professionals and connoisseurs. Watches are selected according to the strictest criteria.
These two awards reflect Antoine Preziuso Genève’s innovative spirit and unparalleled skill and know-how in making timepieces of exceptional complexity – and show to what extent the international public is in thrall to the brand’s creative genius.
