Antoine Preziuso was fascinated by the clock tower in Piazza del Campo in Siena, Italy, the « one of the most beautiful square in the world », who inspired him to turn it into a wristwatch.

This beautiful watch for men and women features decorative hands inspired by the original hand from the Middle Ages.

It dial has been realized from Mother Of Pearl, finely cut and decorated.

The single hand of the original model has been reissued with two hands for superior legibility.

More than thirty years has passed since its first launch, the SIENA is now available as limited reissue edition.

The mother of pearl dial is available in white, black or blue color.

This elegant collection is suitable for gender less.

Siena is an italian city in Toscana who has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site, which means that it is protected by the World Heritage Programme as an important part of the history of humanity to be preserved for years to come.

The Palazzo Pubblico is the town hall which is actually a palace, and the adjacent bell tower, called Torre del Mangia. The Torre del Mangia – a tower in Piazza del Campo built between 1325 and 1348.  The clock was put onto the tower in 1360.   The tower and the Duomo were purposely built to exactly the same height to show that the Church and the state were equal in power.  The tower walls are around 11 feet thick and the stairs to the top are cramped allowing for one way traffic only.  Only 25 visitors are allowed up the tower at any one time.

The 24-hours dial features large numerals at 3-hourly intervals with “hour lines” in between, symbolically evoking the rays of the sun and in practical terms representing the longitudes on a world map. It is also visually distinguished by a light upper zone to display daytime hours and a dark lower section to show the night-time. The dial centre is adorned with a stylised representation of the globe with its continents stretching across the vast expanse of a wavy-patterned blue ocean background. More than just an artistic accomplishment, the World map turns in 24 hours as the real globe to indicate the time zones for individuals entirely at home in our global village.

GRAND ROBUSTO

The name Robusto – from the Latin robustus, meaning strong, well-built and vigorous.

Framed by a rugged cambered rectangular case in solid pink gold weighing over 100 gr, or in stainless steel 316L, the distinctive black carbon fibre dial forms the ideal backdrop for staging an astonishing set of features. The applied oversized, sloping Arabic numerals have become a trademark on certain models by Antoine Preziuso Genève. In this configuration, they are replaced at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock by four « displays with a difference ». Along the horizontal axis, the small seconds sub dial at 9 o’clock is counterbalanced by the 42-hour power-reserve indicator with its pointer moving steadily across a segment to keep track of the state of winding of the watch.

Meanwhile, the vertical axis offers an intriguing new take on two classic chronograph function indications: the 30-minute and 12-hour counters. Each is represented by a semi-circle and characterised by the absence of numerals, which are replaced with a two-tiered set of simplified segments that serve as a graduated scale. Reading it is at once simple and mesmerising, thanks to the steady motion of the double « propeller » hands. Perfecting the subtly symmetrical elegance of the overall effect, the sweep seconds hand is tipped by an arrow pointing to a triangular marker at 12 o’clock when it is at rest. At its opposite end, this hand carries the unmistakable brand logo.

And when the indicator is near the “Fine” 100% zone, its owner can note that he and his watch form a dynamic tandem!

A winning attitude

Power is presented in two variants : a harmoniously combination between gold 18k, titanium Gr5 and steel or PVD and gold 18k.

The dial design of this sleekly sophisticated model highlights the “Energy indicator” segment with its 18k gold hands pointing to graduations ranging from “Down” to “Fine”.

The contemporary architecture of this new creation ensures a rigid, sturdy and light structure distinguished by supporting gold pillars and fully removable gold lugs. 

24 customised screws embodying the ANTOINE PREZIUSO GENEVE identity, come to enclose this new case constituted by about fifty components cut in the mass to insure a perfect waterproofness.

This new model Power is the fruit of a collaboration father and son together. Florian for the R&D, the design and the manufacturing CNC. The new logo « AFP » on the crown and the bottom of the watch is at the origin of this tandem..
